Cyprus will host U-14, U-15 National Teams Tournament from 2-6 of March 2015.
The tournament will take place in Agia Napa and the participant teams are, for the U-14 competition Cyprus, Armenia and Georgia and for the U-15 competition Cyprus, Georgia, Armenia and Fyrom.
At the ages of 14 and 15, there are no official competitions and through those tournaments, which are being organized in cooperation with UEFA, the young players have the opportunity to obtain useful experiences for the participation in the bigger National Teams.
The format of the matches of the tournament:
• Each match will comprise two halves of 40 minutes.
•The half-time interval will last 15 minutes.
•Each team may use nine substitutes in the course of the match. However, no more than three stoppages per team to make substitutions are allowed during the second half.
• If the scores are level at the end of normal time, no extra time will be played. A penalty shoot-out will determine the winning team (with five penalty kicks for each team - sudden death system if the score is still equal).
Points system:
A win awards 3 points
A win following penalties awards 2 points
A loss following penalties awards 1 point
A loss after 80 minutes 0 points
Further more, at the tournament, a player (or the goalkeeper) will be removed from the field for 8 minutes, if he commits any of the following seven offences:
1. unsporting behaviour
2.dissent by word or action
3. persistent infringement of the Laws of the Game
4. delaying the restart of play
5. failure to respect the required distance when play is restarted with a corner kick, free kick or throw-in
6. entering or re-entering the field of play without the referee’s permission
7. deliberately leaving the field of play without the referee’s permission
